The Narrative Lectionary this week brings us to the story of Paul and Silas in Philippi in Acts 16:16-34. This is Paul’s first venture into Roman territory. They encounter Lydia, a slave-girl, slave owners, magistrates, and a jailer. The Gospel is received in many ways. Some welcome it openly, others abuse the messengers. In all cases, Paul and Silas demonstrate what it looks like to trust in the one true king.

This download covers the entire chapter of Acts 16 and includes a PowerPoint, an image Pack, and a PDF of the four-page graphic novel style illustrations that you can print as a handout.
