Overcome

Explore ways to move through anxiety, depression, and grief with the power of God's love.

Anxiety, depression, anger, grief. These are real emotions that we wrestle with regularly. How should a follower of Jesus think about these things? Does it mean we are weak if we experience them? Can’t God heal us?

The preaching team at Easter Lutheran church, where I serve, dealt with these questions in a sermon series called Overcome in the spring of 2018. Then, in the summer of 2019, I was asked to present this material at Mt. Carmel Ministries. The content below is the collection of articles I posted during the preaching series. The slideshow at the bottom is what I used at Mt. Carmel.

I hope you find this information helpful as we journey through our lived experiences with the promise of God’s faithfulness.
