Beginning a Series on Job

The RCL launches a miniseries on Job this week. This ancient wisdom poem explores the depths of human suffering and asks the perennial question of why good people suffer for no reason.

Beginning a Series on Hebrews

The RCL also begins a miniseries on Hebrews this week. This fascinating letter/sermon explores how Jesus relates to the metaphors and rituals of ancient Hebrew theology. This is a great case study in contextualization and the ongoing process of theology.
