I got to be the Artist-in-Residence at Camp House again this summer. It was only for three days, but it was fun. Here are the pieces I created while there. Enjoy!
We read the story of Jesus and the Woman at the Well in Samaria. This was my visual meditation on the story. Read it in John 4:1-42.
I discovered a new drawing tool at my last trip to Wet Paint. It’s called Tailor’s Chalk. It was fun to work with.
This was the first drawing I did with the Tailor’s Chalk. It is water soluble, so I did a lot of blending. The first day we read the story of Jesus on the water. I drew this during the day, then we invited people to write prayers in the waves during worship. It was a meaningful experience.
I only got to do one plein air sketch. This is the cabin I stayed in.

Bravo! Pastor Steve! I love the drawings and the intention of the weekend! Praise the Lord and Draw!!!! Thank you for sharing!
This spring, in my class on the Gospel of John, the Woman at the well, was my jam!
It is so good to see them together in your beautiful drawing!
Peace and drawing!
Thanks for the encouraging words, Kiersten!
