This sermon marks the last words that Jesus spoke to his disciples before he physically left them. His words have been interpreted in many ways over the centuries. Unfortunately, much of Western European history has distorted these words to become a charge to colonize the non-European world. This sermon explores these things and claims that Jesus’s invitation to us has more to do with co-existing in God’s love than conquering in Jesus’ name.
