The NL is continuing Proverbs this week and pulls from John 8 for the Gospel reading.

The NL pairs Proverbs 1:1-7; 3:1-8 with Matthew 13–the parables of Jesus–for the readings on July 23. This makes sense, since Jesus’ parables function in a very similar way to the Hebrew proverbs.
