On Friday, December 27 I hosted Art Pastor Live, Christmas Edition. Remember, it is Christmas for twelve days! I created a piece of contemplative art that will explores the themes of Christmas. Grab your own art supplies and create with me, or simply allow my creative process to be a contemplative space for you.

Happy New Year!
This week the preacher has choices. Do you focus on the New Year, the Second Sunday of Christmas, Epiphany (which is on Monday), or all of the above?
While we will be in Luke this year, the RCL starts with John this week…in the beginning. That’s a good place to begin the New Year! Blessings on your preaching and teaching this week.

Merry Christmas! The big day has arrived. It is especially rich this year to tell the nativity story from Luke 2 on Christmas because we are entering the year of Luke in both the Revised Common Lectionary and the Narrative Lectionary. I can’t wait to walk through this amazing Gospel with you over the next few months.
In this email I offer resources for both Christmas Eve/Day and for the first Sunday of Christmas. Here are the various resources you might find helpful:
The Christmas Story Bundle Pack. It contains:
PowerPoint/Image pack for Luke 1 and 2
Printable PDF of pages 1 and 2
A bonus PowerPoint that visually annotates the Nativity story in a fun way.
A YouTube video with a voice over reading of the Nativity story set to music and the images above
The standard weekly resource page for Sunday, December 29
