Last night we took several of our students to the Cardboard Box City at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. It was a great night of music, dancing, learning about homelessness from World Vision, prayer, and sleeping in cardboard boxes all night. The rain held off until we were all inside our boxes, and then it stopped right before we got up.

I’m really glad we were able to participate in this. They said there were about 600 people involved and the money that came in last night was 14,000 dollars. More is still to come. That’s great news. It costs Portico (that’s the groups that sponsored it) $42/day to house one family, so we funded them for a couple months.

I went old school and brought my physical sketch book along. Here’s the sketch from inside my box…
