Drawing with Feeling, A livestream drawing session. expressive portrait of young man

On Friday, April 11, at 4:00pm CT I livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook for an hour. I created an original image from scratch in Procreate on my iPad Pro. Bring your art supplies and create with me, or simply sit back and allow my creative process tp be a contemplative practice for you.

This session focuses our attention on Luke 19:28-40 and connects it to Luke 2:14. Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a colt and the crowd shouts “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!” Compare this to what the host of heaven shouted when they appeared to the shepherds at Jesus’ birth.

Here is the final image.

A Cartoonist’s Guide to Holy Week

Explore Holy Week in Each Gospel

Present and read through the story of Jesus’ final week from all four Gospels in graphic novel style with this mega pack. It is fascinating to compare and contrast how similar each version of the story is to each other and how many subtle differences exist.

This download includes:

  • a PowerPoint with 378 slides and
  • a folder with 378 .jpg images,
  • plus a PDF including 37 pages of full-color illustrations.

Most Fridays I go live at 4:00pm Central Time to spend about an hour working on an art project. This is my chance to invite you into my studio, talk about the fusion of art and theology, explore spirituality and scripture through visual art, nerd out about the Bible and Visual art, and just hang out with you.
