This is the main street through the village of May Itza.

Dear Readers, I humbly ask for your prayer as 13 of us from Easter Lutheran Church will travel to Guatemala from Monday, August 19 through Wednesday, August 28, 2019. This trip is part of our ongoing partnership between the St. Paul Synod of the ELCA and ILAG, the Lutheran Church in Guatemala.

Our delegation is divided into two teams. The first team will remain at the Lutheran Center in Guatemala City and work with the women of the Milagro Center and children of the el Mirador school. The second team will make a two-day trip north to the village of Maya Itza to spend two nights and one full day with our partner congregation there.

There are two ways that you can travel with us.

First, one member of our team will write a reflection for the day. These words will be posted on the easter website (view the page here).

Second, I will write a daily post during our trip. If you would like to receive these updates in your email inbox each day, please subscribe using the form below. I promise I won’t spam you with anything else.
