Mount Carmel Ministries is a Christian family camp and conference center on the northwest shore of beautiful Lake Carlos, near Alexandria, Minnesota. My wife, Lona, and I had the privilege to spend the past weekend (Thursday evening through Sunday morning) there. I was invited to be the speaker for the Family Camp. The program director, Jonathan Swenson (of paraphrase theater), had come across the Overcome material that we created at Easter last year and asked if I would present it at this camp.

It was a wonderful experience. The facilities are gorgeous, the summer staff is full of youthful energy, talent, and a palpable love for God and children. Lona and I truly enjoyed getting to know pastors Jana and Jonathan Swenson. I hope to return next summer.

Some of the campers asked if I would share my slides. Here is the presentation in its entirety. We had six sessions, including the sermon on Sunday morning. The topics were: Overcoming the Stigma of Mental Health, Anxiety, Anger, Depression, Grief, and Joy. Enjoy the presentation.
