The Narrative Lectionary brings us to Romans 6:1-14 this week. Paul has been teaching some radical heresy that might lead some hard core law-followers to accuse him of being a libertarian. He counters this accusation by appealing to a deeper reality of life in God. We are dead to sin through our baptism. We are buried with Christ and called to walk in the newness of life.
