The final hours of October are evaporating. I dedicated this month to inktober. It was a fun challenge to create a new pen and ink drawing each day. It really got the creative juices flowing.
“Now what?” you ask.
Well, I’ve decided to plunge into another creative challenge. It’s called National Novel Writing Month (#NaNoWriMo). The pure form of NaNoWriMo is to begin on November 1 with a blank page and end up with a 50,000 word novel by November 30.
That’s awesome, and a little nuts.
I’m not going to do that. However, I am going to use the spirit of NaNoWriMo to finish writing Amo: Book Two of the Nectar Trilogy. I plan to write a little bit each day and share it on the blog. Some days will be new writing, other days will be snippets of what’s already written, or plot development pieces.
This month presents an interesting challenge that may work for me or against me. I will be traveling quite a bit. This coming weekend I will be at a conference in St. Louis for four days. Then, the following week, I and three other people from the church travel to Guatemala for nine days. I’ll either have a lot of alone time to write, or none at all. We’ll see how it plays out.
Let the writing begin.
