I’ve been using Corel Painter for a long time. I’m still using Corel Painter X, however. Painter is up to version X3, so I thought I might give it a look-see with a 30-day free trial. It has some nice new features. I really like the “Real” brushes. They have a nice feel.
The opening splash page had a link to find pre-set workspaces. I checked it out and found this one by Einar Lunden. He is a cartoonist and customized this workspace for cartoon and comic strip artists. I enjoyed his how-to video. Enjoy it below. Here is a little sketch I did using his brushes.
