June 2026
Welcome to Summer! We just celebrated 97 graduates from Luther Seminary with Baccalaureate and Commencement last weekend. It was a wonderful time. Now the papers are graded, the meetings are done, it is time to kick into summer mode.
What does that mean for you? I'd love to know how you plan to spend the next three months.
I invite you to join me this summer for another adventure in the Art of Ordinary Time. My goal is to write a new course for Faith+Lead Academy called Leading Discipleship in Your Context. This is a lighter version of my seminary course called Discipleship in the Missional Church. One of my goals is to create an illustrated book to accompany both courses. I hope to offer sessions of Art Pastor Live to invite you into the process. Stay tuned for more information.

I had the joy of preaching the Baccalaureate service at Luther Seminary on Saturday, May 30, 2026. It seemed appropriate to share my favorite prayer of Paul that he prayed for his friends in Philippi in Philippians 1:9-11.
