April 2026
This is Holy Week. We've walked together throughout the Lenten season to get to this moment. Jesus is betrayed by his closest friends. He is executed like a criminal and buried in a tomb. Dead. His disciples are lost, hiding and afraid.
Then it happens. He is alive! He has harrowed the depths of Hell. He has absorbed all the evil that humanity has created and composted it into fertilizer for new life. The steadfast love of God is embodied in the risen Christ.
This is our hope. No matter how dark or hopeless things may seem, the Love of God is steadfast. You, my friend, are beloved. My prayer for you this month is that you may walk in the newness of resurrection life.

Holy Week | A Visual Guide from the Art Pastor
Holy Week, or The Passion of Christ, is the time we walk through the last days of Jesus. We move from Palm Sunday, when the crowds shout "Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord," to Good Friday, when the crowds shout, "Crucify him! We have no king but Caesar!" to Easter Sunday when the disciples shout, "He is risen, Alleluia!"
In this video I walk through The Art Pastor's Guide to Holy Week where I have compiled the visual resources from all four Gospels from A Cartoonist's Guide to the Bible into one easy to navigate web page. Use these resources for your own study, teaching, and preaching.
