Hi Subscriber,
It is Holy Week. We have one more week to contemplate the difficult journey of Lent and Jesus' passion week before we can celebrate resurrection and new life. Easter is a season of seven weeks that lead us from the resurrection of Jesus to the pouring out of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2. In this post I hope to offer you some encouragement and resources to dig into spiritual practices that will make this a season of resurrection life for you.

Live Art on "Palm Wednesday"
|
I had the opportunity to create a drawing live during Chapel on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. This was our "Palm Wednesday" Chapel for the Luther Seminary community, since Holy Week is Spring Break.

Hosanna means “save us” so I asked people to complete the sentence “save me from…” and to write their response on a palm branch. I drew this image during the service. Then each person brought their hosanna to add on the image when they came up to receive communion. I was glad to be a part of this service. Click the button below to watch the service. Enjoy!
