Tomorrow is Transfiguration Sunday. Wednesday we receive ashes and the stark reminder, "Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return."
Do you know what that means?

The season of Lent is especially rich this year because we are reading through the Gospel of Luke. The 40 days (seven weeks) of Lent are the part of the liturgical calendar in which we walk with Jesus from the mount of transfiguration in the north to the city of Jerusalem in the south. The Gospel of Luke spends ten chapters recording Jesus' teachings and actions on this journey.
It is my hope and prayer that I can offer you visual and spiritual resources to enhance your journey with Jesus this season.
A great place to start would be with this resource on the Travel Narratives in Luke.

Sharing this journey with you,

What is Lent? This PowerPoint introduces the student to the idea that Lent is like a journey of spiritual spring cleaning. We walk for 40 days, practicing the disciplines of fasting, prayer, and service to prepare our hearts for Easter.
