My first week of German class at Luther Seminary is finished. The professor is great. He’s a native German speaker who teaches hermeneutics and New Testament at Bethel Seminary. Bethel and Luther team up every summer to offer this crash course in German for any student in any program.

I feel bad for those students who have had no background in German. Had I not taken German in high school I think I would be going insane right now. Having had a foundation, however, I find the class fun.

After class I spent a couple minutes poking around the book stacks at Luther. Wow! It was like being a kid in a candy store. So many books, so little time.

More later. Auf Wiedersehen!
