Artist

Spot Studios is taking a hiatus. In June of 2011 I entered a PhD program and every ounce of my spare time is dedicated to this pursuit. If you are looking to hire a caricature artist for gifts or parties, please visit James Hungaski’s site. If he can’t do it, he knows someone who can.

My hope is that art will become a form of relaxation and re-creation for me now, instead of the means by which I generate an income for my family. God has miraculously provided that for me through employment at Grace Lutheran Church and a generous benefactor. Unbelievable.

Please enjoy a small sample of my illustration work in the galleries below.

OK, back to the books!

Theory of Strategic Action

This graphic illustrates how our lives are open systems. Each moment of our life is a fusion of horizons in which our inner self dialogues with the stories that inform us. This fusion of horizon informs our decision making process. We must then bring our understanding to the point of decision and seek to discern between the prompting of the Holy Spirit that leads to contribution to the kingdom of God and the temptation of self to contribute to the kingdom of self. Each decision has a consequence. The consequences creates a feedback loop that further informs the story we tell ourselves and the decision making process begins again.
